Player scoring in consecutive matches

Some of you may remember that in 2013 this forum had a thread about a player scoring in consecutive matches, as a result of Leon Smith scoring in 8 succesive matches - unfortunately the thread has fallen off the bottom of the forum.
After digging back in the archive as it then existed, it was found that Oscar Reinke had also scored in 8 successive matches in 1925.
Having recently updated the 1930-31 season on the archive with match reports and, where necessary, updated teams and scorers, I have found that in that season Freddy Evans scored in 10 successive matches, from 20/12/1930 to 21/02/1931 inclusive.
However, that's not the end of the story. The first of those 10 matches was a friendly, and the sixth was abandoned five minutes into the second half owing to fog which also limited each half (in theory) to 40 minutes.
Therefore, although Freddy Evans scored in 10 successive matches, only 8 of them were completed competitive games, and he therefore joins Oscar Reinke and Leon Smith in scoring in 8 successive competitive games.
