I have just learned that former Hendon player and Stevenage Borough legend Martin Gittings has died at the age of 61. ?Gitts? was a late-season loan signing by Mick Browne on transfer deadline day in 1995. He made his debut in a 0?0 draw at the Alfred Davis Memorial Ground, Marlow, on All Fools Day and went on to play in 10 of Hendon?s last 11 matches, all Isthmian League, scoring five times.
