Hard to read the players' names, as they're not in focus. The only Reading one I can make neither head nor tail of is the right-back. Looks something like "M. P. Sherwood"?
Peter Shreeves was there that season, but he was a forward and appeared as "Shreeve" in his playing days. Maybe Peter is his middle name. Maurice Evans was there in that season. No sign of him. So was Terry McDonald, who once scored the winner for Orient against Manchester United in the top flight and was manager of the Coral bookies on the corner of Great Portland Street & Langham Street for ages. Neil Webb's dad, Doug, was there too.
The XI looks to be Arthur Wilkie, the mystery #2, Colin Meldrum, Ernie Yard, Ray Dean, John Chapman, Allan Scarrott, Denis Allen, Pat Terry, Rod Thornhill & George Harris.
That's without the team changes, obviously.
