Hendon scorer : John Ashworth
Currently I have no details of the Reading line-up or scorers, though I think that Robin Friday wore the number 9 shirt and scored 2 goals. I don't have the attendance, either.
Just a thought, but since your original query mentioned the F.A. Cup 3rd round and Nottingham Forest, I wondered if you were possibly thinking of Tooting & Mitcham United v Nottingham Forest at Sandy Lane, Mitcham in the F.A.Cup 3rd round in 1959-60, when on a frozen pitch TMU took a 2-0 lead only to be pegged back to a 2-2 draw, Nottingham Forest winning the replay 3-0 and going on to win the F.A. Cup Final that season.
