In hindsight I think everyone would agree that the decision was perhaps unwise. I think the initial idea was for the players to enjoy a night out in Birmingham after the game and do some squad bonding, but since we ended up with just 14 men on the day, two of whom got injured, another of whom was probably underage, and a further three haven't put pen to paper, that certainly didn't happen.

Hopefully lessons have been learned for next year.

Speaking to Kate in the bar afterwards, she seemed confident that some of those missing would be alright for Truro - let's hope so.
