Constantly looking for indications. Gosport, highlighted the duel between the respective number 4's. Today, second half the number 7's. Firstly, our first goal. 30 mins in, the first time Joe drifted wide allowing Brooksey to interact, penetrating down the middle. Lovely interaction. Second half, their no 7, exploited us. That is the prevailing characteristic prevailing, opening us up. Constant theme. In comparison, not directly correlated out lad, Sean, second half, constant threat.
Everything above is the very definition of playing a top side and what they throw at us. We are by no means out the woods in that regard. I thought their lad at 7 epitomised everything about what we need to guard against.
That is this league in a nutshell.
I do like our underlying strength. In identifying top duels on any given day, we look dominant, in determination with regards the outcome.
On a personal note, crying out loud. Akin to watching football in a bloody wind tunnel! ~We've had the snot blown out of us! Seriously, delighted for our tenacity, and the fact Lee is obviously on board for next season. He's clearly assembled a decent set of lads. We look mentally fine tuned. Lee has clearly set in place a statement of his very own characteristics. A clear acknowledgment of his own persona. Well done.
