Credit where it's due

That was the best 90 minutes I've seen us play since Chesham. First half full of attacking verve, two excellent goals, high tempo and snapping at the heels of Walton.

Second half, yes, we dropped off Walton and let them play in front of us, but aside from the header which Chris superbly tipped onto the bar, they didn't hurt us at all.

Jimmy's taken a lot of heat recently, some of it warranted, much of it not. I thought tonight he got everything absolutely spot on. Tre had an excellent debut, Reece is twice the player he was with us last season, Connor looked re-energised. Defensively I thought Tingey and Kraig were faultless and Toby looks a find at left-back.

We're still minus Hamblin, Corcoran and Hope, bring them into the energetic side we saw tonight and we'll be okay.

Yes, it's only a start tonight, but we've built on the promise of the odd 45-minutes at Hayes and Truro. Full props to everyone from Jimmy right through the squad.

Good job.
