Convoluted thoughts

I actually thought going in, the way we set-up on paper looked a reasonably compelling notion. Working under the assumption that the lad Toomey was unavailable. How if he had been available that would have been factored in - one for the manager. With a high dependency on Connor - away from home - beyond this season - I think there is some merit. On the plus side, opening stages of each half, I thought we actually showed some penetration and looked in contention. Had we converted, maybe things would have panned out differently? Longer-term, something to work with. At home, a wholesale different proposition - I'm personally stumped as to what our best selection/formation is. With regards to next week, I think we can take some solace in the template from the home game v Weymouth as a template. Connor, Ogi, and Tingey mostly absent on the night. Jonas back in contention for the back. Shaq has to get on song, tracking back defensively down the flanks. Back-post defending - unlike today - worried about the lack of height. Thought Hammond and Hopey looked our most composed on the ball - Some potential adjustments next week. A real similar stern examination maybe just what the doctor has ordered to get us producing the type of performance required. There is, without doubt the semblance of a display within - time to deliver.
