Wimborne 3-3 Hendon

I enjoyed yesterday. Difficult conditions with the wind, a sticky pitch on a steady slope that fell from one side to the other and a beautifully tight, charming tumbledown ground. The visit was as warm as I've experienced this season on the road and given that Wimborne's home form is excellent, a very well earned point indeed. The shape and structure looks vastly improved with all of the new boys making good contributions.

Although Wimborne hit the woodwork twice in the first half and will have felt a bit hard done by going into the break behind, after we went 3-2 down I thought it was going to be curtains for us. But there was a great deal of spirit and fight and we were back on terms within a couple of minutes thanks to Lockey.

Both keepers made outstanding saves late on and Ogo hit the bar when clean through, his dink just a little two weighty.

More positive signs to take with us to Merthyr and then the couple of home games that are pretty big now.
