Thought today maybe signs of something more sustainable with a reasonably solid defensive performance. Thought the back-line all coped well - particularly Jonas handling Marvin. Thought the corresponding no 7's had a half each and the new lad Smith, showed he may have a skill-set on him. I maintain until we have a spine consisting of Matty, Caclutt and the centre-halfs in situe it's really difficult to determine conclusions. There is cause for hope. I do think the management and players deserve huge credit for their application in what has been one of the most challenging environments imaginable. The injuries and suspensions alone in stark contrast to our play-off seasons. The nature of our dismissals. Encapsualtes where we are at. It doesn't come as a surprise. We are all accustomed to the side-effects. Today, their were on-field 'Conference calls' between players. None volatile in nature, demonstrating a desire to put things right. Today, was the first time for weeks I thought we showed some semblance of solidarity on a playing front. A few more back in situe and we can hopefully mould some cohesion.
