Tough, tough week at the office. I thought Tuesday night was a game we could have done without. Similar to Harrow at home in some much as uphill struggle from the start. Another goal conceded from our by-line headed in close range. I think we gave away far to many soft free-kicks in the middle of the park. All systematic to a degree of a severe shortfall in personnel. Our spine effected, both centre-halfs out, your going to struggle. Carried over into today. Watched most vids in this league the amount of goals scored from set-pieces is off the ruddy charts. Gosport had a specialist in their ranks. I think there's a lot of similiarities. I think we have made significant headway with regards personnel. I seriously doubt the gaffer has of yet had the opportunity to put out is preferred XI. The teams above us are established and carrying forward established cohesion. The fact we can broadly compete is testimony to where we are. We get some consolidation, this week will be quickly put behind us. Surprised somewhat Connor and Cole Brown (of whom I like more every time I see him), both changed the dynamic when they came on, as to if they could have started. Lucien offset their dominance down our flank when swithched over. Rumours surrounding Ricardo, Guri long-term absentee, one centre-half carried off, one suspended, two mainstays on the bench. Stephane maybe gone walkabout. That's a tough ask. Defence today weakened. I think Shaq and Bayley can start something in the middle, the balance out wide becomes settled the centre-halfs back in situe - it's an entirely different side. Everybody plays their part, there's only so much up-heaval you can abosrb. A complete sod of a week - forget it - plenty to work at, the bigger picture remains promising.
One third into the campaign, these lads have done a remarkable job - one challenging week can be percieved as a positive. Take our lessons and move on.
