Situation Vacant: New Turnstile Operator Required for Next Season
Views: 3017
We will unfortunately be losing one of our valued volunteers at the end of the season as long-term fan Doug Smith calls time on much than a decade of assistance as a turnstile operator.
Doug has been an absolute blessing helping us out at Claremont Road, Vale Farm, Earlsmead and SJP giving up his time to help matchdays run as smoothly and seamlessly as they do. As he enters his 9th decade (hope you don't mind me mentioning this, Doug) this year, he has decided to retire at the end of the season.
However, as one door closes, another opens and we would really value another volunteer (or five) to come forward to help share the duty of taking money from supporters. The more people we have to share the work, the lighter the 'burden'. Entry to games is free for fans that come forward to assist, and the brilliant location of the turnstiles at SJP mean that once the action begins, aside from when latecomers arrive, you are welcome to watch. In poor weather you can do so sheltered, as well.
Full training will be provided, free cups of tea too.
If you are able and willing to assist us from next season, please let me know on johnrogers070@gmail.com, or see me at a match.
Thanks,
John
