I agree that such an expression opens up a multitude of options, but I did say specifically that it was one of the best Hendon goals that I have ever seen, not the most important, essentially one of those that I have enjoyed most. I have always opted for exceptional strikes that have not been bettered in all my watching. Obviously I have missed more than I have been lucky enough to see, but just occasionally a strike is of such superlative quality that it takes your breath away as happened on Saturday.

On the same theme, I will always remember Dermot Drummy for his late equaliser in the FA Cup at Banbury, not just a great strike but also in that case very important as well.
