Like many supporters I love looking back at historical cogitations, past clashes and the like. I like to think the history book repeats itself - it often does. Bath City 1998/99 part of a cup run. In defeating Bath, enter Notts County. Similar league results galvanized by the cup run. Similar understandable desires. There's your incentive chaps.
This little mini-league of late - still clearly in operation. Margate by all social media accounts played out their socks and were unlucky. Very fine margins. Lots of woodwork being struck amongst ourselves. I'm biased, but maintain we are, out the four teams, the ones with the unpredictable components. Slough, Margate and Bath all look remarkably similar to me. All capable of defeating each other. Battle-lines drawn, I think this comes down to utilisation of the flanks. They have muscle where you would expect it, they well be exposed to something unfamiliar. Fascinating clash.
Challenging yes, we do our jobs on the day - we re-write history.
