Word of warning.
From my experience, collecting cheap advance purchase tickets from machines at Victoria is often problematic.
I've not travelled on a cheap online ticket from Victoria for more than a year but I'd say maybe 4 of the last 6 or 7 times I've done it, the machines have refused to release the tickets and I've had to queue at the ticket office, which can easily take 20+ minutes at noon on a Saturday. I missed my train once, having got to the Victoria more than 30 minutes before departure time. The ticket office re-issued a ticket for the next train at the same price, but that's no help if you're on the last pre-kickoff train.
The barriers normally refuse to recognise advance purchase cheapies - just in case any nefarious dastard might be attempting to use one on the wrong train.
"Caught in a trap. I can't walk out"... Suspicious minds or what? That's Southern Trains for you.
