Travel & Admission for Billericay

If you are planning to travel to Billericay on Saturday, please read on for details regarding travel, parking, and how you can purchase your admission ticket in advance.
If you are driving to the ground, please be aware that secure parking is available at the ground, priced at £5. Side street parking is available on Tye Common Road and surrounding side streets, but you are asked to park courteously and not block any entrances. Alternatively you might prefer to park in Billericay Town Centre and walk to the ground.
If you are travelling by train, please be aware that trains are only running as far as Shenfield, with a rail replacement service running onwards to Billericay, so please allow more time for your journey. Cabs are available to the ground from Billericay station for around £5.
Once you are at the ground, you will find that Billericay are trialling a system of cashless turnstiles, which means spectators have to buy a ticket at the ticket office rather than paying at the turnstile. Alternatively you can buy your ticket online. Billericay have done this as a security measure due to the volume of cash they are now taking following their substantial increase in attendances over the past nine months. This means that any queue is at the ticket office instead of the turnstile.
I have just tested the online ticket purchase, and it worked absolutely fine. It sends you a PDF file which you can either display on your phone when you get to the turnstile, or print out and bring on the day, and I would recommend using the online option to help avoid the queues on Saturday.
Finally, as Saturday is Non-League Day, Billericay are offering half-price admission to anyone who turns up in fancy dress. Prizes are being offered for individual and group costumes. The half-price admission is only available at the ticket office.
