Quite agreed, amazing photograph by Suzie Wils on Twitter of Casey’s celebration. This, at least, needs to be the photo on the front page of the first Hendon Football Club programme by the Rogers for the new season. STILL in the Isthmian Premier, Casey scored the goal that counted and that photo needs enlarging and hanging and framing on the wall into the club house to remind everyone of the effort some of these guys, and us by the way, have put in. I’m not sure what Kezies’ trying to say about “the haters from ten games ago” when you can’t defend the rubbish performances before that, surely. The turning point for me was Tom Lovelock. As soon as he came in and actually did a keepers job properly, he gave the back line confidence and helped them to do their job. Then Harper & Ball slotted into midfield, both immense, gave confidence to Khale, Kezie, Reis and that rocket Marcel. Towards the last few games, putting Keegan on for Harps second half was shrewd. James Hammond has run his socks off and Sam has done a really good job as an emergency left-back with only a right foot but after a deep breath and re-think, re-energize, put him back on the right wing and sign a proper left back. Harrows’ no.3 was really impressive that last game, strong, quick decisive, skilful, maybe have a word.
Also I would like to say well done to Gary McCann for holding it together this year after all the tribulations. Please stay with us for next year and use that experience to make an impression.
