It's not Gary's responsibility

Via his post match twitter. Honourable sentiment.
Nobody in this damn league can tackle. First 45 three instances where tackles were won led to two goals and Hendon's best creative chance. Even when doubled up against an opponent crosses and goals continue to leak in. It's a trend which is literally a pandemic in the division and no amount of new defensive signings is going to make the slightest difference if you can't defend your own penalty area. Our tackling this afternoon was a bloody disgrace, it was midweek, and has been for months. Tingey in the second 45 in his own box offered some redemption. Teams are playing basic passing movements around our flanks and we offer no resistance.
It's last March since a home league win, we have to acknowledge reality. I am genuinely wondering if our lack of defensive aggression and prolongued injuries relate somewhat to the pitch. Leatherhead gave us the run-a-round with consummate ease. It's turned into the norm.
Defence and up-front have had continual remedial attention and yet midfield remains for me the concern.
The players have remained steadfast, Gary, the supporters, demand more, the players, irrespective of short-comings warrant better execution. We are being undone by the basics.
It's not a disaster, it is with some refinement redeemable. I utterly fail to accept that even with our current squad, we lack the underlying ability to overcome our current predicament.
