As a Dulwich supporter, I'd say we have the strongest squad on paper, but not the best team. Dulwich haven't had a 1-0 away win all season, or a goalless draw. So they don't win away without scoring at least twice, and never nick a point unless they score at least once. So a lack of the type of dull and boring qualities needed to win a championship over nine months. Dulwich have lost only twice to teams currently in the top half of the table (Hampton and Billericay away), but have lost to five of the current bottom seven: home to Needham Market and away to Harrow, VCD, Lewes, Burgess Hill. Maybe too many ex-Conference players a bit past their best; still comfortably good footballers for this league, but maybe not quite sufficiently motivated when things start going wrong? I suspect it was muuh the same at Margate last year when many expected them to walk the league.
