And it was bloody cold...
Tonbridge my tip for top honours at the outset. Down the flanks, crosses in the box, second ball equals a very tough afternoon for anybody. A pair of basketball types on the back-post. Writing is on the wall.
Very Dulwich-esque. Almost dismissive. Whitnessed Scott give the gaffer a supporting pat on the back at half-time. I hope the Gaffer's not taking our present form too much to heart.
Second half in particular I thought we demonstrated a fantastic work-rate, but it is compensating for quality. We seem stuck between midfield strength and/or a lack of width. The lads displayed genuine courage. We stuck at it which for me personally in this phase has been the first semblance of positive cohesion and movement.
We have un-answered questions, defensive pairings and Murph's best position. Andre for me today gave signs that he is finally back in some frame of want. Still prone to counter-attacks.
I hate to say this, but I do honestly believe today was a tad hiding to nothing. The lads displayed a lot of honesty - I hope the lad Short is fine.
There was enough there today, against solid opposition, to suggest we are on the mend.
For the first time in several months, I felt in patches we looked like our old-selves - but against Tonbridge away is a tough comparison.
Keep those heads up.
