What if ...

… the weather forecast proves to be accurate and the pitch either at Earlsmead (or at Margate for that matter) is waterlogged? The forecast as of 1630 on Tuesday is for about 14 hours of heavy rain starting at 0900 Thursday.

This leads to the following hypothetical questions:

1. If one game is called off, will the other one go too?
2. Will the postponed game be moved to the Friday, giving one team 50 per cent longer recovery time?
3. If both games are played, but the home finalist’s (hopefully Hendon) pitch has been destroyed, what happens if it fails a pitch inspection on Sunday morning?
