Yup, an utterly ludicrous decision - particularly when set alongside the fact that with appeals and the like there's no guarantee that our playoff could even go ahead after Thursday's hearing. Up till now I had some sympathy with the league being put in this situation through no fault of their own, but they've just made an utter hash of their first significant decision.
