I agree with you on Seebs - the only problems Bury posted were when they got in behind him. I think Seeby is at present the fulcrum to the system. I have a notion that maybe Fisher may come in at right-back. I rate Seeby a lot - and hence will always have a slight problem with his utilisation anywhere else than his natural position. It is way too early to draw conclusions, but with Taggart, Fisher, Wallace and Dean all not active the best is yet to come. My mainstay problem with the system is finding the right players for the positions - this may result in better players remaining non-active. I also have a few qualms with the two centre players, albiet their roles in a defensive or attacking capacity and our in-ability to hold the ball up-front. In the present set-up I think we lack someone like Carl McCluskey of whom wins ariel flick-ons from goal-kicks ect. If Adam comes in at some point he requires the right type of service. At present as soon as our passage of attacking play breaks down we find ourselves automatically on the back-foot.
It's not the set-up I would personally install, but there's no reason why it cannot deliver a marked improvement. I totally endorse the view that something needed to be done and I am encouraged by what little I have seen.
Some patience and fine tuning and we'll be fine.
